Vin Diesel's Fast X, Leo Abelo Perry as Dom Toretto's Son Brian

Back in May 2022, when Rita Moreno was presented by Vin Diesel as part of the Toretto's family in London we also saw a video posted by Tyrese Gibson introducing Leo Abelo Perry as grand son of Rita Moreno joining the Fast & Furious franchise! The video was removed from Tyrese Gibson's Instagram pretty soon and I didn't have time to save it but in today's news come up the confirmation that the 9-year-old actor, who most recently played Chip in ABC’s Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration live special, has been cast as Vin Diesel‘s son in the upcoming movie Fast X.

While Dom Toretto’s son Brian has been a background character in past two Fast and Furious' movies, According Tyrese Gibson video to Instagram, Leo have a bit more of a role in Fast X as Leo Abelo Perry will play the character interacting with Rita Moreno at the famous Toretto's garage. Leo will play Brian Marcos Toretto, “the son of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), and Elena Neves (Elsa Pataky). In 2017’s The Fate of the Furious (Fast 8), an infant Brian was kidnapped along with his mother and used by Cipher (Charlize Theron) to blackmail Dom. Though Elena is eventually killed, Brian is rescued by Deckard (Jason Statham) and Owen Shaw (Luke Evans), and Dom names him after his late friend Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker). In 2021’s F9, viewers see Brian living with Dom and stepmom Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) at their farmhouse,” according to Variety. Last week Vin Diesel shared through Instagram a new imagen of Dominic Toretto, reminding his fans that the first Fast X trailer is will be seen on February.

"Trailer launch next month"…

Right after Vin Diesel's posted to social media, some publications confirmed that the release date will be two days before than the previous given day February 12, 2023 during the Power Bowl. According to Collider (via, we can expect to get a first look at the movie on February 10, two days before the Super Bowl takes place. That's also how Universal debuted the Fast 9 trailer in 2021, and should help ensure the tenth instalment of this long-running franchise isn't overshadowed during what's sure to be a busy Sunday night for new sneak peeks. The site notes that the trailer is expected to be a whopping 3 minutes long, so we're clearly going to be treated to a lot of huge, high-stakes action ahead of Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his crew's return. but as you might expect, Universal still plans to drop a Fast X TV spot during the Big Game.
