Vin Diesel's Fast X - End of Week 14 - Toretto Filming in Rome

Week 14 is being extremely busy for Fast X's production team that is filming in three different locations at the same time. Fast and Furious 10's production headquarters is filming in London UK, but this week also there was another team filming action scenes with Vin Diesel and Helen Mirren in Rome, Italy and at the same time a 3rd unit was taking area photography in Portugal.

In another note Vin Diesel celebrated his 55th birthday this year in Rome by having dinner with Helen Mirren and another lady that happens to be one of the producers of "Fast X."

The two actors were spotted at celebrity haunt Antica Pesa — which has a sister location in Brooklyn, New York — The small groups “sat in the restaurant’s garden and sipped on red wine with Mirren, switching over closer to Vin Diesel' seat, to prosecco for the birthday moment.

The stars and their party ordered Italian classics like cacio e pepe and smoked duck, and that “Diesel was surprised by the kitchen with his favorite cake, Victoria sponge.”

“They were having an amazing time — it seems as if Vin Diesel and Helen Mirren have become good friends throughout filming. As they sang him ‘Happy Birthday,’ he changed the lyrics to ‘Happy birthday, dear Helen,’ because her birthday is July 26.”

Michelle Rodriguez offers an update on the production of Fast X. the tenth installment of the Fast & Furious franchise, which has been running since 2001. Since that time, the series has grown from its simple racing roots, embracing bedlam to offer up intense action spectacles. Each film has been more significant than the last, audiences have been more than happy to take the ride, with the franchise becoming the eighth highest-grossing film series of all time, with over $6 billion in revenue.

Fast X has also assembled a massive cast of unique talent, as many franchise regulars are returning, with in Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Ludacris, and Michelle Rodriguez. However, the film is also adding quite the roster of new talent with the addition of Brie Larson, Jason Momoa, Alan Ritchson, Rita Moreno, and Daniela Melchior. Seems like production hasn’t been halted at all with Justin Lin leaving and Louis Leterrier coming in by this interview. 4-5 weeks left for filming which is exact to be wrapping up by early September as scheduled.

Fast X has been in Rome, Torino, two locations in Portugal, London WB Studios, and possibly one last setting (standing location), to wrap filming on. Also it’s confirmed that some of the main cast finished their part of filming. Charlize Theron, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Alan Ritchson, Brie Larson, Daniela Melchior, Jason Momoa, Jason Statham, John Cena, Sung Kang, and Jordana Brewster. Vin Diesel finished this week in Rome with his scene with Helen Mirren (Queenie), using the same Dodge Charger that was used in Torino, Italy when production began in May.

The production of the movie "Fast and Furious 10", whose recordings take place these days, in Vila Pouca de Aguiar, has installed a logistic support base at the Municipal Sports Complex. Three backup helicopters are currently parked on site for the filming of the sequel to Universal Pictures (Fast X), starring Vin Diesel.
