Vin Diesel's Fast X Is the Captain America: Civil War of the Franchise

Updated: May 7, 2023

Fast X director Louis Leterrier suggests that the penultimate installment in the Vin Diesel-led saga will see old allies on different sides of a major conflict, akin to Marvel Studios' 2016 film Captain America: Civil War. "It's really the beginning of the end, the beginning of a giant war between the two factions of light and darkness,"

Louis Leterrier told Empire. "People will switch sides. The audience will have to make decisions -- who are you following?" As a result of Fast X's splintering conflict, some major franchise players may not survive to the franchise's next and reportedly final entry. "That's the beauty of arriving near the end of this franchise," Leterrier said in March. "I don't have to go, 'Oh, well, these characters will live forever.' No. They might not, because it's the end," he said. "Only in Westerns do cowboys gallop out into the sunset. This is definitely different. It allowed me some freedom to raise the stakes even more than they've been raised before."

Fast X might kill a main character, but doing so would require breaking a 10-year Fast & Furious franchise trend. With the Fast Saga racing toward its conclusion, the stakes for Dominic Toretto and his team are inevitably rising. Jason Momoa's villain Dante Reyes is connected to the past and is threatening to kill a member of Dom's team. It might seem like a stretch that the character will be successful, but the trailers have played up someone dying, and even director Louis Leterrier has mentioned that Fast X could kill main characters. That tease has created an understandable concern that not everyone will make it out of Fast X alive.

The Fast & Furious franchise has turned away from killing characters in recent years, though. The movies have been more focused on bringing back characters who died, like Han, to expand the cast than whittle the ensemble down. This was not always the case for the street racing franchise, as early Fast & Furious movies made a habit of killing major characters. This included Jesse dying in The Fast and the Furious, Vince dying in Fast Five, and killing Han and Letty before retconning those moves. If Fast & Furious 10 kills a main character, it will break a 10-year trend.

After watching Vin Diesel's Fast X official trailer several times, I jumped to the conclusion that one of the characters kill in this installment is going to be Luis Da Silva Jr who played 'Diogo' in the fifth installment or commonly knew as Fast Five of The Fast Saga. Diogo will be back in F10 appearing in the race scenes set in Brazil, and looking at with detail the green car in flames taking out of the race by Dante Reyes is not another that the one drove by Diogo.

In the following video, the race line shows four cars: Diogo, Dom, Dante and Isable. Diogo is driving a green car, and Isabel is driving a yellow car. During the race, two cars are eliminated by Dante, Diogo's green card blows up in flames, and for the aspect looks that in an extremely dangerous way, so I am more than sure that Diogo is being accidentally kill there. The next car eliminated from the race was Isable's yellow car, in her case the car flips over but it doesn't blow up in flames, therefore could be possible that also Isabel dies in her car crash during the race.

LAST MINUTE BOMB!! 💣.

The actor Luis Da Silva Jr who played 'Diogo' in the fifth installment of The Fast Saga will be back in F10 to appear in the new scenes set in Brazil that the production filmed a month ago. The actor filmed his scenes at the Warner Bros. Pictures studio located in London, England, where the cast recorded most of the footage.

Everything indicates that 'Diogo' will be part of the flashback set in Rio de Janeiro, following the events that occurred in "Fast Five" with Dominic and his team looking for 'fast cars' to finish the job in Rio.

It's a golden opportunity for Universal Pictures to include deleted footage of the car title race (not included in the 2011 film) between Dom and Diogo.

Are you excited about it? 😎.

Sorry about the next two posts, I know that they show double...Vin Diesel is having issues with his personal cell phone and all his posts to social media are coming out double when they are embedded, for that reason and for all of you having an excellent view of his posts, it is that I used to post his social media post in another format.

Again, Vin Diesel post come out double...for that reason I post the same video twice. 😊

In regards the comment on Vin's post to Instagram, I suspect that could be another of Vin Diesel's subliminal mensajes to his fans, in this particular case, about the future of the saga after "Fast X part two". Where the legacy will pass the key or torch to the next generation.

"Where Legacy meets Family…"

🙏🏽

Vin Diesel used to have a remarkably close friendship with Kobe Bryant and after his unexpected passing, he continues his friendship with Kobe Bryant's widow, Vanessa Bryant who was invited and present during the F-9 premiere in Los Angeles. I am mentioning these relationships because for the last couple of years Vin Diesel has been involved in many more basketball events than he used to be before. As we all remember a few weeks ago Vin Diesel also presented the speech in the 2023 All Starts Event in Salt Lake City, Utha.

In the following pictures we can observe Vin Diesel sharing time with Koby Bryant, Gigi Bryant and the complete Bryant's family before the tragic event that will change the course of their lives in a unexpected way.
